The Drôme is an exceptional river because it’s authentic; one of the last without barriers. Perfect to do by canoe, it find its source in Bâtie des Fonds at 1060 m altitude and flows in the Rhone 110 km lower.

This Mediterranean river, quickly heated by the good climate of the valley of the Drôme, crosses the mountains of Diois, passing by the old city of Die, which became famous thanks to its vineyards which produces Clairette de Die. The narrow passage of Pontaix at the ruins of the feudal castle, then through the lowlands of Vercheny, the throats of Saillans, just till Crest with the highest castle tower of France.
